After a long and distinguished career as a skilled interventional radiologist at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dr. Andrew Common has retired.

Andrew had a very long history of exemplary service dating back to 1987, serving patients, clinical staff and trainees with excellence. His skill as an outstanding interventional radiologist is well known in the medical community and to the countless patients under his care. He has distinguished himself as an excellent educator, having taught medical students, residents and fellows in the Department of Medical Imaging over the years.

Andrew served as the Division Head for the Department of Medical Imaging at the University of Toronto for Vascular and Interventional Radiology from 1995 to 2000. From 2000 to 2010, he served as Radiologist-in-Chief at St. Michael’s Hospital, and from 2010 to 2023 as Division Head of Interventional Radiology.
