Amyloid PET Program Launches at St. Michael’s Hospital
Toronto Radiology at St. Michael’s Hospital completed its first clinical Amyloid PET scan on April 17, 2026—marking the launch of a newly funded Amyloid PET program to support earlier and more accurate diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. The first patient scanned was a 67-year-old woman living with dementia. The Ontario Health–funded program is intended for people with mild cognitive impairment
